Please note...

Most of the properties are the owners' own holiday homes and have a good standard of cleanliness, equipment and presentation. They are all self-contained, providing everything from a TV to a teaspoon and some form of heating. Not all owners provide all bed linen and towels, so please check the individual details very carefully. For those properties where bed linen is not provided, it is imperative that you bring a full compliment of sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases. Some owners put duvet covers and pillowcases on the beds but for aesthetic purposes only and these are not laundered every change over.

Low Doors - this is an extreme example - they are not all THAT low! Many of the properties featured in our brochure are old, so it should be remembered that the majority of doorways are not of the modern standard height. Pictured on the right is an extreme example, an entrance to a bedroom. They are not all that low! But you should be aware that door sizes are often unusual!

Example of Low Beams - click to enlargeSome beams and ceilings can be low. In the photo on the left, the lady is about 5' 5" tall. And stairs can be steep and/or curved - although good hand rails are installed - please be careful!

Some properties are situated in the country, so if you are not used to rural living, please remember that the farming community will be working, some animals can be noisy and there could be agricultural odours and creepy crawlies! If you are a devout 'townie' wishing to spend a holiday in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, please be warned!

Regrettably, many villages no longer have pubs and/or shops, so provisions will have to be bought in nearby local towns, which have many delightful individual shops and some supermarkets.

The properties are prepared for your visit, and must be left clean and tidy - materials and equipment are provided. We reserve the right to charge for any breakages or damage, and for extra cleaning if your rented property is not left in an acceptable condition.

Every reasonable effort and care has been taken to ensure that each property write-up and description is accurate and representative. Mrs Jane Good (Holidays) Limited can not be held responsible for any changes owners may make to their properties without informing us or for any breakdowns of machinery or services which may occur at the holiday property or if any item is temporarily unavailable – although we will strive to ensure repairs are carried out as quickly as possible for the continued comfort and enjoyment of your holiday.

In some properties, very well behaved, non-aggressive dogs (maximum of two) are permitted (at no charge) provided they are kept under strict control. Please ensure that you always clean up after your pets. Never leave them alone at the property, and remove any sign of hair and fluff from the carpets and furniture at the end of your holiday.

When selecting your holiday property, please ensure that the number of visitors does NOT exceed the stated maximum number in the write up. Most properties do not allow smoking inside the premises so please respect the owners' wishes. However, you may smoke in the garden but please remember NOT to leave any 'dog ends' lying about!

Out of season weekend and mid week breaks can sometimes be arranged - please enquire. Mid-week and weekend short breaks can only be considered for booking a maximum one week in advance in high season and within two weeks of the start date during the rest of the year. Due to Council Tax regulations, some of the properties featured in our property list and brochure are not available throughout the entire year.

Some properties in our brochure and on this web site indicate a Tourist Board rating, which means that they have been inspected and quality graded by the Tourist Board. The remaining properties are either awaiting their grading by the Tourist Board or the owners are happy to continue with our own 'star' rating.
