Otley is a village situated about 6 miles inland from the popular market town of Woodbridge and has a busy little shop with a post office and a pub which serves food. In the next door village of Ashbocking, the Swiss Farm shop sells a wide variety of locally produced meats, as well as a good selection of olives, cheeses etc. Nearby Hasketon also has a very good farm shop for fresh vegetables, bread, jams, biscuits, to name a few of the goodies sold there.
The Coach House is a recently refurbished, self-contained cottage adjacent to the owners’ delightful period house and provides spacious accommodation for not more than two people. The very pleasant presentation of The Coach House makes it an ideal ‘get away from it all’ holiday home and an ideal base for relaxing after a day out exploring the many interesting places to visit and see in Suffolk.
The front door goes into a welcoming entrance hall (the woodburner can not be used) which leads to a large, light and airy, fully fitted kitchen which has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, ample cooking and dining equipment including coffee maker, slo-cooker and a central dining table and chairs. From the kitchen, two shallow steps go up into a spacious living room with two large windows, both including double glazed doors, overlooking the owners’ garden and comfortable soft seating and a television, DVD and hi-fi system. Visitors are very welcome to use the sunny patio and garden furniture immediately outside the living room.
Straight stairs from the entrance hall go up into the bedroom with a double bed which has a good sized ensuite shower room with WC, wash basin and shaver socket.
The owners provide a duvet, pillows, all bedlinen, towels and teacloths. Night storage heaters provide heating and there is off road parking on the gravel driveway to the front of The Coach House.
One, small well behaved pet is allowed but please do not let it run free outside as there is no ‘barrier’ separating the visitors’ patio and the owners’ garden.
Smoking is not permitted inside The Coach House but ashtrays are provided outside on the garden table.
