The village of Snape is situated approximately ten miles north of Woodbridge and five miles inland from the popular town of Aldeburgh. Although Snape is world famous for its acclaimed concert hall, which is now surrounded by an interesting selection of shops, the village also offers a small shop, post office, three good pubs, an attractive church and a petrol station. Snape is easily accessible to the beaches, rivers, marshes and forestry along the heritage coast and is an ideal base for anyone wishing to explore the area on foot or by bike. Set back from the road on the outskirts of the village, Snape Hall Cottage, which has been tastefully converted from a range of redundant farm buildings, adjoins the owner's home and gardens. The property is light and airy and provides quiet, comfortable accommodation for not more than two persons. On entering Snape Hall Cottage, there is an lobby area with glazed ceiling and original brick floor. Three shallow steps lead down to the main living room, with seating area, dining area and modern fitted kitchen. A wide passageway leads from the main reception room past the bathroom, with bath, wash hand basin and WC, to a good sized bedroom with a 5 foot wide bed and views across the meadow. Household amenities include electric oven and hobs, half size dishwasher, microwave, fridge, washing machine, ample kitchen equipment, combi TV and video and radio/CD music centre. The owner provides duvets and pillows as well as all bed linen and towels. There is oil fired central heating for the cooler months. French doors from the living area lead out into a private courtyard and patio area which is south facing. There is off road parking available in the main driveway. One pet is welcome at Snape Hall Cottage, on the understanding it is not permitted to foul the garden. Smokers are requested to indulge outside only, please.
Short breaks are available at Snape Hall Cottage but they can only be considered two weeks before arrival out of season and one week before the start date in high season. Prices are available upon application.
